Peanut Butter and Jelly Cream of Wheat® Recipe
- Peanut butter and jelly just found a new best friend. Sorry, bread, but you're toast.
Ingredients
FOR THE CREAM OF WHEAT CEREAL
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup Original 2½ Minute
- 2 heaping tbsp. peanut butter
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
FOR THE ROASTED GRAPES
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 2 cup black seedless grapes
- 2 tbsp Concord grape jelly
Directions
FOR THE CREAM OF WHEAT CEREAL
- Combine the milk, 1 ½ cups water and pinch of salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Slowly whisk in uncooked cereal, stirring constantly, then lower the heat and simmer. Whisk in peanut butter. Stir occasionally until smooth and thickenedabout 5 minutes.
- Top your cereal with the roasted grapes and any juices from the baking dish.
- Sprinkle on some roasted nuts.
FOR THE ROASTED GRAPES
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Lightly spray an 8-inch baking dish with nonstick spray, add the grapes and ¼ cup water, and cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- Cook grapes for 25 minutes taking time to stir once.
- Remove the foil, stir in the jelly, and continue roasting until slightly caramelized, about 10 to 15 minutes longer.
